I love family time

Our family outing this weekend was a four wheeler ride to the creek and a trip to the catfish festival in stinky Evadale. I learned that Tray is a little daredevil. He rode the zipper like three times. And yes, I rode the zipper one time and that will probably be the last! The zipper is the tallest ride in the picture. (Just so you know)

Brag Rights

This is a picture of Triston, aka Biddy, holding his potty chart. Every time that he uses the bathroom in the potty, he gets to put a sticker on his paper. Its not really the sticker that is the motivation for his using the potty. I made a new rule this week. The new rule is that he isn't allowed to play the PSP unless he is wearing big boy underwear. Apparently this is doing the trick because he has done so well over the past couple of day. I'm so proud of him and excited about the idea that we don't have to buy anymore diapers!

Today Triston and I went to both Tray and Rylee's schools to eat lunch. While we were walking into Rylee's cafeteria, alot of kids were saying"hi Rylee". Rylee told me that she must be famous. I asked her why she thought that she was famous and she said because everyone was telling her hi. (haha) We never know what will come out of her mouth. She is always full of surprises and thats what we love about her.

We are also very proud of Tray. We recieved the results to the reading part of his TAKS test yesterday and he only missed one problem out of the whole test. He has been making all A's at school and helps out alot around the house.

Easter!

Ok, so we didn't quite make it to church on time today, but what's new. I was kinda grumpy today. I was so tired. I stayed up late getting my Easter lesson ready and doing some last minute shopping for today. We really had a good time this evening celebrating Easter at Aunt Brenda's & Uncle Owen's. They always make every family get -together so special. The kids enjoyed the egg hunt and especially the eggs with money inside.

Pre-Easter fun

Tonight the Ruggles family had a little pre-Easter fun. We made cute little piggy & chick cupcakes and we boiled eggs. I have to admit that we typically don't boil eggs because we are lazy and take the easy way out-plastic eggs with candy. I started thinking that our kids are really missing out on Easter fun so we boiled eggs this year. They aren't the prettiest eggs, actually they are kinda ugly, but we had fun and thats all that counts.

Temple trip called off

My temple trip was called off because my husband said that the weather was suspose to get really bad today and for some unknown reason he doesn't think that I'm capable of driving in the rain. He said that I have had a wreck in good weather before. I told him that didn't count, I wrecked because I was sleeping. What? I was tired. Maybe we can go another day. The weather still hasn't gotten bad yet but I'm gonna knock on wood. I did get to eat lunch with Ray today.

Kids are at mom and dad's for a few days!!!

This week is spring break!!! Actually my spring break was last week and I didn't even realize that until Thursday. Its the kid's spring break. Mom and Dad wanted the kids for a few days and they wanted to go. I needed the break! Ray has to work overtime this week. What am I gonna do all by myself? I have a three page paper due in sociology this week. Thats one thing that is gonna occupy my time. I also plan on tanning, working out, and maybe I can squeeze in a little shopping. My kids need their Easter get up and I need to find matching clothes for family pictures. Oh yeah, Bobbie and I have a temple trip planned Tuesday. I can't wait to go to the temple, its been so long since I've been. I love going to the bookstore afterwards :)
