Our vacation to San Antonio

We enjoyed our vacation to San Antonio. I think we made a good choice on our vacation destination. We spend 4 days and 3 nights there. The first day, we toured the Alamo, went on a river boat tour, and took the kids to a haunted hotel. We also enjoyed visiting with the Gordon's and touring their new home. Thanks for supper! I've been craving another Santa Fe burger ever since! The second and third days were spent at sea world. The last day we went to San Marcos to shop at the outlet malls for school clothes. Back to real life. URGH!

Pioneer day fun

Our ward celebrated pioneer day today. It was so much fun. We got paper money to buy homemade ice cream, scones, and even shop at a country store. The kids made butter, candles, and even washed clothes using a wash board. Poor pioneers! We also went on a wagon ride and listened to pioneer stories.

Prayer Rocks

The kids got prayer rocks at church today. Triston was so exciting about his prayer rock. He said, "mom I got a rock that says prayers." We are so proud of Tray and Rylee for giving their testimonies during sacrament today.

Gator country

We took the kids to gator country today. Look how brave our kids are!

Happy 4th of July!

Ray worked all day Friday and the kids had spent Thursday night in Kirbyville with BeBe & Paw Paw. Before I joined the kids in Kirbyville for our family party, I got to workout at the gym, cook, clean, research vacations on the Internet (still haven't made a decision), read some of last month's book club book, took a nap, and even got to stop by and say hi to my friend Lisa. It's amazing all the stuff you can do without kids. But it is also boring! At BeBe & PawPaw, we stuffed ourselves with yummy food and Uncle Billy and PawPaw took the kids outside to shoot fireworks. I went outside to take a picture but it makes me nervous to watch so I went back inside. I know, I'm a party pooper!

Waterpark fun

Today we went to the waterpark in Sulphur. We went with the Ruggles & Barado families from Vidor. We had a blast!

Our new car

Actually its newly used. haha. Since, we sold our expedition, we decided to replace it with a car that got good gas mileage. It's not the honda accord that I wanted but it is nice and gets good gas mileage. We had to get a car that I could use for college in the fall and one that Ray could use for his extra jobs. It's an impala. (I just couldn't convince Ray that a honda accord would make a really nice looking off duty police car.) The kids came car shopping with us and they did really well. We tried to entertain them with huge suckers.
