Rylee graduates

Last night Rylee graduated. I was shocked about how big of a deal that Silsbee makes about kindergarten graduation. There were so many people there. Things that I learned so when Triston graduates from kindergarten, I will be prepared.

* bring air horn and blow it when your kid walks across the stage

* bring balloons and release when they call your child's name

*if you have a girl, bring flowers to give her

*put something on the top of their caps so that you can spot them from the stands

*if you have a boy, you could have a trophy made up for them (I saw a huge trophy with a dirt bike on top of it and had something about being a kindergarten graduate on it)

*after party( Rylee's friend invited her over for cake and ice cream)

*presents ( I heard one mom say "Let's go home and open your presents" (you think it was graduation presents?)

Poor Rylee.........We did take her out to eat.................does that count?

Tray graduated from Kirbyville just in case you are wondering.

Tray gets two awards

Tray received two awards at his award ceremony today. He received an award for AB honor all year and kids of character award. We are so proud of him. He is an excellent student and son.

Tray's field trip to NASA

I bought tickets for our whole family to go to NASA with Tray's school. We had never been before. We had a fun time. Tray's teacher divided the students up into small groups. Ray and I plus another mom were responsible for six students plus Triston and Rylee. It was kinda crazy because there were alot of people there and we only had two hours. The kids just wanted to play on this big indoor playground. After the bus left, we went back in and did the tram tour.

Rylee gets an award

Rylee brought home a note from school informing us that she would be getting an award at the awards ceremony. I asked her what award because she has already got a citizenship award and I knew that it couldn't be perfect attendance. She told me that she was getting the best student award. She actually received the President's award but I'm still not sure what that means. Anyways, we are proud of her and can't believe that she will be a first grader.

10 year reunion

I've always said that I wouldn't go to my ten year reunion but as it got closer, I decided to go. I like to surprise myself every now and then. I was so nervous! My hands were shaking that it was hard for me to sign in. I know that sounds so silly. It really wasn't that bad. It was nice to see everyone again.

My kindergarten grad pic

This is my kindergarten graduation photo. The back of the picture says April 1986. So do you think that me and Rylee look alike? Ray didn't think so.

Mother's day weekend

I had a great mother's day weekend. I kept constantly reminding the kids that it was mother's day weekend. (I was totally milking it!) I know everyone except me is glad that it is over. :) Friday night, we took the kids to see Iron Man. Rylee got a little scared but other than that we give it a thumbs up. We slept in Saturday. Rylee woke me up with breakfast in bed. How sweet. I took a picture. She brought me a pink tray with a left over chocolate chip muffin, a Reese peanut butter cup, and chips. She also drew me a picture. They took me to the Texas Roadhouse for lunch. I can't say that I really enjoyed my lunch. Let me explain-I hate going to the bathroom at any restaurant before I eat because I have a weak stomach. It never fails that Rylee always has to use the bathroom before she eats almost every time. So I took her to the bathroom and I had siked myself up and didn't think that it was that bad and then I hear someone in a few stalls down throwing up. I was so mad!!!!!!! Anyways, later on Saturday evening, we rode four wheelers at the creek. Sunday was church and afterwards, we went to Kirbyville to spend time with Ray's family.

Our kindergarten grad

Rylee survived kindergarten! She will be graduating from kindergarten on May 29 at 7 pm. We are excited for her and looking forward to summer vacation.

New Wheels!

Ray finally got his wheels in. He is so happy and wonders why we waited so long to order them. So next time you see the hottie in the hummer-its me! haha
